Job Description

Heine Brothers’ Coffee, a 100% organic and fairly traded coffee roaster founded in 1994, is looking for a talented freelance graphic designer. The role involves helping to bring the Heine Brothers’ visual identity to life through seasonal campaigns, in-store materials, merchandise, digital content, and community events. The designer will collaborate closely with the marketing team on a project-by-project basis, contributing creatively to a brand that prioritizes people and community as much as coffee.

Key Projects

• Seasonal menus, promotional posters, and in-store signage
• Social media graphics, email headers, and digital campaign assets
• Merchandise concepts (cups, totes, apparel, packaging)
• Event materials for community initiatives and fundraisers
• Brand collateral in support of wholesale and B2B efforts

Requirements

Required

• 3+ years of professional graphic design experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating brand design, print, and digital work
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Ability to work within an established brand identity while bringing fresh ideas
• Excellent communication and reliable project turnaround
• Experience preparing print-ready files and digital assets

Preferred

• Experience with food, beverage, or hospitality brands
• Familiarity with Canva for team collaboration
• Passion for sustainability, local business, and community values
• Louisville-area knowledge and familiarity with the Heine Brothers’ brand
• Experience with social media content creation
