4 Years Later: What's Really Changed?

Videographer is needed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I am working on a personal documentary project for my university journalism course, focusing on Malaysia. My aim is to explore the experiences and equality of non-Bumiputera communities, particularly the Tamils, Chinese, and Orang Asli, under the current government. I am looking for a videographer based in Malaysia, ideally familiar with Kuala Lumpur and Penang, who can join at specific times or when opportunities to film arise. Documentary filmmaking skills are essential, and while editing and subtitling experience would be helpful, I have other sources for those. I am open to discussing travel, food, and drink expenses, and I am flexible on how the filming is approached but happy to provide suggestions if needed. The project will take place between Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Mertajam, and Penang, and needs to be delivered by late October.

Ideally I’m willing to give videographers control over how they want to film because I dont know anything about that but if I think theres a way it can be approached I’ll suggest it.

Who are you, and what do you do?
Its a personal project for my university, I’m studying journalism and I wanted to do this instead of something in the UK because I know Malaysia better haha, I come from a mixed race family and my mother’s side is Tamil-Malay so I want to make a documentary exploring whether or not under Anwar Ibrahim the standard and equality for those who aren’t Bumiputera has improved by speaking to the Tamils and Chinese and Orang Asli as they’re easily accessible groups
