Social Media and Marketing Manager for a Children's Reading Scheme

We are Bright Start To Literacy, a company focused on early childhood literacy. We are seeking a freelance social media and marketing manager to help promote our children’s reading scheme, Bright Start. The brand targets young learners, homeschooling families, and focuses on nurturing curiosity and confidence. Our brand has a distinct visual style with illustrated characters, books, and learning materials. You will be responsible for managing our social media presence, developing content for Instagram and Facebook, creating Reels and short videos, growing an audience among parents and educators, and writing engaging captions. You should be warm, creative, and preferably experienced with children’s, parenting, or educational brands. The right person will be collaborative, reliable, and able to work flexibly on an ongoing basis. We are looking for someone who understands storytelling, visual content, and can work with a modest initial budget.

Who are you, and what do you do?
I’m an ex- Primary headteacher with a passion for teaching young children to read and write. I have developed my own scheme which has been used successfully with my own grandkids and has now been updated using Ai imagery and illustrations. I am very driven by this project and need someone who shares my passion.
