Job Description

Part-Time Temporary Graphic Designer (duration: approximately 3 months, hybrid)

• Create engaging visual content that reflects our modern, playful brand;
• Design and produce digital and print marketing materials, including social media graphics, email graphics, website graphics, advertisements, signage, event collateral, and promotional materials;
• Prepare final files for print and digital distribution;
• Ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints and maintain brand standards;
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work;
• Manage workflows and communicate timelines and processes to cross-departmental teams;
• Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently throughout the creative process;
• Support other institutional and strategic projects as needed and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design or related field;
• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in an agency, nonprofit, or in-house creative environment;
• At least 1-3 years of relevant experience creating graphics in one or more of the following mediums: advertising and marketing design, illustration, publication and typographic design, and packaging design;
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and other relevant design tools;
• Excellent critical thinking skills; ability to balance multiple time-critical projects and pivot quickly;
• Team player who values a collaborative working environment.

Additional Information

Hourly rate + benefits:

$22 - 27 per hour, commensurate with experience. This is a part-time position, approximately 30 hours per week. This position is eligible for paid sick leave based on DC sick leave laws.

Location:

This is a hybrid position, located at 1275 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC.
