Job Description

We’re a growing creative agency looking for a talented Graphic Designer with a strong design eye, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. This is a 1099 freelance/contract position with flexible hours and the opportunity to work on a variety of branding, marketing, and creative projects.

As the owner, Creative Director, and Brand Strategist, I bring over 22 years of agency experience and have spent the last 2 years building my own company. I’m willing to train the right person and help develop their skills, but I’m ultimately looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and passionate about great design.

Requirements

• Strong graphic design portfolio demonstrating creativity and attention to detail
• Proficiency in:
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe InDesign
• Canva
• CapCut
• Understanding of branding, typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently while remaining responsive and accountable

Additional Information

Design ability is approximately 80% of what I’m looking for. The remaining 20% comes down to:

While client meetings, strategy, and project direction will be handled by the owner, the designer is expected to think beyond simply executing tasks, acting as a creative partner who is solution-oriented and invested in producing great work.

Bonus Qualifications

• Copywriting or content writing experience
• Video editing experience
• Photography experience
• Videography experience
• Experience capturing content at client events, brand shoots, or marketing campaigns
• Experience working with marketing agencies or multiple client brands

For the right person, opportunities may arise to assist with on-site photography and videography for client projects and events.

Contractor Requirements

As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for providing your own:

• Computer and software
• Reliable high-speed internet connection
• Dedicated workspace
• Transportation to occasional in-person meetings or client events (if applicable)

This position does not include company-provided equipment or office space.

Position Details

• Independent Contractor (1099)
• Part-time: 15–30 hours per week
• Flexible schedule
• Remote work with occasional virtual or in-person meetings
• $20–$40 per hour based on experience, portfolio quality, and skill level
