Social Media Manager – ONE CURRENT

One Current is building Sri Lanka’s first nationwide water refill network with the goal of reducing single-use plastic bottles. We aim to make clean, safe drinking water easily accessible to travellers by creating smart refill stations. We are launching our pilot units across hostels, and plan to expand into hotels and public spaces. We are seeking a Social Media Manager who will develop and execute our social media strategy, create engaging content for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Facebook, and help document the company’s growth journey. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, sustainability, and is creative, proactive, and organised. You will work directly with the founder to build the public identity of the company and create content that tells the story of a growing startup focused on environmental impact and sustainable travel.

I’m Thushika Kalubowila, BAS, founder of One Current. With a background in architecture, I focus on designing systems that solve real-world problems through infrastructure and user experience. One Current is building Sri Lanka’s first nationwide water refill network for the hospitality industry, enabling travellers to clean, sterilise, and refill reusable bottles through smart refill stations. We are currently developing and preparing pilot units for deployment across hostels and hotels in Sri Lanka, with the goal of reducing single-use plastic bottles and improving access to clean drinking water.
