Job Description

We’re hiring a Social Media Video Editor & Content Planner to enhance our short-form content across platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn. This role involves planning, shaping, and editing engaging videos that retain viewer attention. The selected candidate will collaborate with our Creative Director and content team to develop formats, create hooks, and edit videos from existing material like podcasts and interviews.

Requirements

• Plan social video content aligned with 8AM’s brand voice and marketing goals
• Edit vertical videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn
• Craft compelling hooks and visual intros to capture viewer attention in the first 3 seconds
• Cut longer episodes into short-form clips with strategic framing and pacing
• Add dynamic captions, light animation, and engaging visuals to maximize watch time
• Stay updated on trending formats, memes, audio tracks, and visual styles
• Collaborate on social media calendars and propose new short-form series or concepts
• Optimize for engagement metrics like watch-through, likes, saves, and shares
• Tag guests, write captions, and assist in publishing content across all channels

Compensation and Benefits

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
