About Us: 212 Pilates is a boutique reformer Pilates studio in Midtown Manhattan, known for elevated, personalized instruction in a refined studio environment. We’re looking for a creative, self-motivated social media manager to help grow our online presence and bring our brand to life across platforms.

The Role: This is a contract, project-based engagement, ideal for someone building a portfolio in social media, content creation, or brand marketing, and who can work independently with minimal day-to-day oversight. You’ll set your own hours and workflow; we’re looking for outcomes, not a time clock.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

• Plan and create content (photo/video/reels) that reflects our studio’s aesthetic
• Liaise with Studio Management on design and branding
• Manage posting calendar across Instagram and TikTok
• Engage with our community — comments, DMs, tagged content
• Track engagement and suggest content strategy based on performance
• Occasionally shoot content in-studio (classes, instructors, studio ambiance)

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong eye for aesthetics — you understand what makes wellness/luxury content feel premium
• Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video (Reels/TikTok)
• Self-starter who can manage this independently, without close supervision
• Prior experience running social accounts (personal, brand, or client) is a plus
• Based in or near NYC preferred for occasional in-studio shoots

Additional Information

• Details: Independent contractor role — you set your own schedule/method of work, and are free to take on other clients.
• Compensation: Starting from $500/month — commensurate with scope.
• Written agreement provided per NYC Freelance Isn’t Free Act requirements.
