Job Description

This is a part-time contract position for a creative, fast, social-media-savvy Junior to Mid-Level Graphic Designer to join the team behind You Can Be Both and @lanzaretta. The role involves using design, storytelling, and social media to create meaningful work that connects with the mission of the organization.

You Can Be Both is focused on the intersection of LGBTQ+ identity and faith, exploring the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals within Christian contexts. This position is not for a generic designer; it requires someone who genuinely connects with and supports the mission.

Requirements

• Junior to Mid-Level Graphic Designer
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Comfortable working in Canva
• Comfortable using ChatGPT / AI tools
• Knowledgeable about Instagram and social media content
• Able to recognize and write strong social media hooks
• Interested in engaging social media content that encourages interaction
• A strong visual storyteller
• Able to help develop and refine copy
• Fast and efficient
• Dependable with weekly deadlines
• Able to work independently while following an established brand
• Passionate about LGBTQ+ affirmation, equality, and inclusion

Experience with creating Instagram carousels or educational social content is a plus.

Hours + Compensation

• Freelance / Independent Contractor
• Approximately 4 hours per week to start
• $25/hour
• Fully remote
• Flexible work schedule with agreed-upon weekly deadlines
