Job Description

The Graphic Designer (Contract) role involves providing services to Microsoft through Allegis Global Solutions. The position seeks a skilled and detail-oriented individual to create high-quality templates, presentations, documents, and workbooks within Microsoft 365 applications. The designer will combine strong visual craft with storytelling and practical production skills to produce polished content for a diverse audience, including enterprise and small business users. Close collaboration with content leads, designers, and cross-functional partners is essential in developing accessible templates and integrating AI tools into workflows.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality templates for PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and Excel workbooks for diverse customer audiences.
• Create layouts, visual systems, and reusable design components for a variety of scenarios.
• Ensure template clarity, polish, accessibility, and ease of customization through strong design judgment.
• Format and refine files for consistency in typography, spacing, alignment, color, imagery, tables, charts, and content hierarchy.
• Translate creative briefs and content requirements into practical, customer-ready template designs.
• Support production workflows by creating, editing, and quality-checking files across Microsoft 365 applications.
• Collaborate with partners to incorporate feedback and enhance template quality.
• Maintain strong attention to file structure, usability, accessibility, and presentation quality across platforms.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and set milestones aligned with product needs.
• Integrate AI tools into content and design processes with a balanced human-in-the-loop approach.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of graphic design experience with a portfolio showcasing strong layout, typography, composition, and visual design skills (portfolio required).
• Experience designing professional content in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Experience creating customer-facing templates or business content for enterprise or small business audiences.
• Experience designing within established brand systems or creative guidelines.
• Background in high-volume content production environments with evolving requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Communications, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong graphic design craft including typography, layout, color, composition, hierarchy, and visual balance.
• Deep proficiency in PowerPoint and Word; working knowledge of Excel.
• Strong understanding of template systems including reusable layouts and consistent styling.
• Detail-oriented approach to formatting, alignment, spacing, accessibility, and file quality.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma and/or Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with accessibility best practices for presentations and documents.
• Strong communication skills—visual, written, and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Collaborative and proactive communication style, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Additional Details

• Location: Remote
• Duration: 4 months
• Pay Range: $26.50 - $30 per hour
• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
• Job Status: Non-Exempt
