WSPY News & WCSJ News are on the lookout for a talented Graphics Designer who’s fluent in the language of Adobe Creative Suite, think InDesign, Photoshop, and a dash of Adobe Premiere for some visual storytelling. You’ll craft vibrant ad designs for our local advertisers and help us polish up our end-of-year print publications. We offer training on Google Ad Manager (no sweat if you’re new to that!). Requirements

• Required Skills and Experience
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Experience creating HTML5 display ads, including responsive and animated units. Familiarity with Google Ad Manager or Google Ads from a publisher perspective.
• Experience with newspaper or magazine layout is required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to adjust workload during seasonal peaks.
• Knowledge of web design languages including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript along with WordPress or other content management systems.
• Familiarity with digital ad specifications, file size limits, and performance considerations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute creative concepts for branding, advertising, web design, and print materials using industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Google Ad Manager.
• Design engaging advertisements on our local websites WSPYNews.com and WCSJNews.com.
• Collaborate with marketing consultants to develop ads for our local customers.
• Manage layout design for print advertising and digital platforms while ensuring consistency in typography, color management, and overall visual style.
• Utilize strong web development skills including HTML5, Google Ad Manager on the publisher side, and content management systems to implement designs seamlessly online.
• This position is well-suited for a designer looking for steady, year-round digital work with predictable seasonal increases (July, Aug, Oct, Nov) tied to print production—rather than unpredictable freelance assignments.

Additional Information

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
