Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Freelance UI/UX Designer to support web and digital projects on an as-needed basis. You will be responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered digital experiences that balance functionality, aesthetics, accessibility, and business goals. You’ll collaborate with our internal team and developers to turn concepts and requirements into polished, responsive designs. This is a freelance/contract position with project-based and ongoing opportunities available based on performance and workload.

Responsibilities

• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs.
• Design responsive experiences for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Conduct user research and analyze feedback to improve design decisions.
• Translate business goals and project requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Develop and maintain reusable design components and design systems.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Prepare organized design files and specifications for developer handoff.
• Review implemented designs and provide feedback during development.
• Conduct usability testing when needed and iterate based on findings.
• Ensure designs follow accessibility and usability best practices.
• Stay current with UI/UX trends, tools, and digital design standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX work across websites, web applications, or digital products.
• Proficiency in Figma for interface design, prototyping, and collaboration.
• Strong understanding of UX principles, user flows, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Strong visual design skills, including typography, spacing, hierarchy, and responsive layouts.
• Experience designing for both desktop and mobile experiences.
• Understanding of design systems and reusable components.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and modern front-end frameworks is a plus.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Ability to clearly communicate design decisions and receive feedback.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects or deadlines.
• Ability to work independently in a remote freelance environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with marketing agencies, startups, or multiple client brands.
• Experience designing websites, landing pages, dashboards, SaaS platforms, or mobile applications.
• Experience collaborating directly with developers.
• Familiarity with usability testing, analytics, or user research tools.
• Experience designing conversion-focused digital experiences is a plus.

Compensation

Freelance Contract: $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience, portfolio quality, and project requirements. Hours will vary based on project workload. Strong performers may receive consistent ongoing freelance opportunities.
