Job Description

The Alameda County Library Foundation (ACLF) is seeking a freelance marketing and graphic design professional to complete a one-time creative project that will produce a suite of timeless, reusable, and easy-to-update communication materials supporting the Foundation’s fundraising and outreach efforts. This is a project contract hired directly by ACLF and not a County position.

Max Budget: $10,000

Max Hourly Rate: $200

Max Total Hours: 50

Project Type: One-time deliverable package (not ongoing)

ACLF requires a complete set of branded digital and print assets that can be used for future fundraising and donor engagement. All designs must be created so ACLF staff can update content easily in future years (e.g., editable templates, modular layouts, and repeatable formats).

Requirements

Required Deliverables:

1. Fundraising Campaign Templates (6 Total)
Each campaign should include:

• Editable email template
• Social media graphics and messaging
• Print-ready collateral pieces including letters and postcards
• Materials must be visually cohesive and designed for reuse.

2. Seasonal Donor Postcards (4 Total)

• Designed as timeless, reusable postcards
• Includes a QR code linking directly to the donation page
• Includes website branding
• Print-ready files + editable versions

3. Seasonal Newsletter Templates (4 Total)

• Designed for quarterly donor and community updates
• Includes editable sections for new content each quarter
• Provided in ready-to-use Constant Contact format
• Includes matching social media teaser graphics

4. Posters & Informational Flyers for All Library Branches

• Branded general-use posters
• Informational flyers highlighting ACLF mission, donation options, and program support
• Designed for easy future content updates

5. Digital Letterhead & Envelopes

• Branded digital letterhead template
• Envelope design for general mailers
• Envelope design for donation return mailers
• Provided as editable files

6. Branded Business Card Design

• Standard ACLF business card template
• Editable fields for names/titles
• Print-ready format included

7. Donor Gift Tote Bag Design

• Cloth tote graphic design
• Branding aligned with ACLF mission and messaging
• Print-ready artwork

Qualifications:

• Freelance creative professional or small design studio
• Strong experience in developing marketing suites or brand packages
• Portfolio showing both digital and print work
• Experience with nonprofits preferred
• Ability to create clean, reusable, editable templates
• Knowledge of Constant Contact formatting helpful
• Strong communication and project management skills

Additional Information

Pay: $200.00 per hour
