Job Description
The Office of Water Programs (OWP) on the Sacramento State campus is seeking to hire a graphic design student to assist our design team with a diverse range of projects. The office develops and implements programs and publishes manuals for water treatment and distribution systems, wastewater facilities, and provides technical advice regarding water policy issues.

This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position. Employment can be terminated at will by either the University Enterprises, Inc. or the employee. Employees are not allowed to hold more than one UEI Job at a time, and a pre-employment background check may be required.
Prerequisites
Must be an undergraduate college student attending classes during the regular term, enrolled at a minimum of six semester units or nine quarter units.
Majors/Fields of Study
Graphic Design or Design Studies.
Work Schedule
Flexible workdays and hours, Monday – Friday, between 8 AM – 5 PM, determined by supervisor. Student employees generally work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during breaks.
Compensation
$22.00 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
- Enrolled as a Graphic Design or Design Studies student at an accredited college or university.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible attendance.
- Able to work a consistent schedule on a weekly basis.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications.
- Ability to work on the Windows platform.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work with Adobe Creative Suite applications to produce camera-ready artwork.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and project staff to create visualizations.
- Assist in design projects from concept to production.
- Create schematics and graphics for presentations.
- Work on layouts for publications and reports.
- Design visual identities for initiatives and clients.
- Photo and video capture and post-production tasks.
- Learn front-end coding for user interface development.
- Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining quality work.
- Perform related duties to support project timelines.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, and perform manual dexterity tasks. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range is required.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office environment.
