Job Description

Napa Valley Creative Agency is seeking an experienced freelance Social Media Manager / Content Creator to provide ongoing support for a diverse portfolio of clients in wine, hospitality, travel, lifestyle, and cultural sectors. This hands-on creative role requires understanding both the strategic and execution sides of social media, managing content calendars, writing in brand voices, and creating short-form content while ensuring multiple client accounts progress effectively.

Requirements

Strong candidates will have:

• A strong portfolio and/or examples of high-quality social media, content, photography, video, design, or brand work
• Professional experience creating content for brands or businesses
• Excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills
• Strong understanding of Instagram and Facebook
• Experience with social media scheduling and publishing platforms
• Experience in creating Reels and short-form video content
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple brands, projects, and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong visual judgment and an understanding of composition and storytelling
• The ability to work independently and manage agreed-upon deliverables
• Reliable communication and follow-through

Experience working with wineries, hotels, restaurants, tourism, luxury, lifestyle, or other premium brands is highly valued.

Additional Information

Photography and videography experience is a significant plus, though full-time professional experience is not required. Candidates should be comfortable capturing polished, social-first photography and video. Familiarity with software such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or CapCut is also preferred. Candidates must be based in Napa Valley or a reasonable driving distance, as some work will require on-location content capture, client visits, or events.

Schedule & Engagement

This is an independent contractor/freelance engagement, averaging about 10 hours per week initially, with the potential for more work as the agency grows. The contractor can determine their schedule within client deadlines and requirements.

Compensation

The pay ranges from $30 to $40 per hour, based on experience and capabilities. Opportunities for additional photography, videography, and content production may also arise.
