Job Description

The Alliance Lacrosse League (ALL) is seeking a Contract Media Manager to lead content creation and media operations for its league and events. The role combines hands-on photo and video production with managing freelance shooters, editors, and partner media organizations.

The Media Manager will oversee event coverage, produce and publish content in real time, support sponsor deliverables, and develop creative content that keeps the league relevant during the off-season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, staff, and lead media coverage for league events.
  • Shoot and edit event photography and video, including highlights, reels, TikToks, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Publish real-time event content, recaps, highlight reels, and sponsor content.
  • Design social media and event graphics, including schedules, rankings, player features, commitment graphics, and sponsor posts.
  • Recruit, coordinate, and manage freelance shooters, editors, and partner media groups.
  • Manage post-production workflows and ensure content is delivered on schedule.
  • Plan, write, and publish daily content across ALL social media channels.
  • Use social media analytics to support audience growth.
  • Develop an off-season content plan using event footage, player and team previews, rankings, throwback content, and feature stories.
  • Write league announcements and press releases.
  • Manage outside media inquiries and credential requests at events.
  • Maintain an organized central library of photos, videos, logos, and other media assets.
  • Coordinate sponsor content with the marketing and partnerships team.

Requirements

  • One to two years of experience in sports media, content production, or social media.
  • Internship, college athletics, and student media experience will be considered.
  • Lacrosse experience is strongly preferred.
  • A portfolio demonstrating independently shot and edited photo and video work.
  • Strong photography and videography skills, including live-event production.
  • Graphic design experience.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator; After Effects is a plus.
  • Experience coordinating other shooters, freelancers, or student media crews is preferred.
  • Strong writing skills for social media and sports audiences.
  • Ability to follow an established brand identity while contributing fresh creative ideas.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and long event days.
  • Availability to travel to league sites and events, including major July and November events.

Position Details

  • Job title: Contract Media Manager
  • Location: Conshohocken, Pennsylvania
  • Engagement: Independent contractor, paid on a 1099 basis
  • Project duration: Up to 12 months, with a possible mutually agreed-upon renewal. Renewal is not guaranteed.
  • Compensation: $3,000–$3,300 per month, based on experience
  • Travel: Travel expenses covered for event assignments
  • Additional benefits: ALL gear and apparel allowance

The Alliance Lacrosse League is a partnership of five premium lacrosse clubs: Mad Dog Lacrosse, Next Level Lacrosse, 3d New England, Building Blocks Lacrosse, and Sweetlax. The league provides high-level tournaments and recruiting events for elite players nationwide, while giving partner clubs and organizations access to premium events and showcases.
