Playful Children's Book Illustrator for Ongoing SeriesSearching

Create simple, colorful, playful illustrations for a series of young children’s and board books. Each book will typically need 10–15 illustrations, including a mix of single pages and occasional two-page spreads.

Rough sketches, layouts, compositions, and creative direction will be provided. Translate these into polished, original artwork with a fun, imaginative feel; styles may range from crayon-like drawings and layered-paper looks to simple cartoons.

Artwork must be human-created, not AI-generated. The client will handle text placement and final book formatting. Illustrations will be used in commercially published books in South Korea, educational read-aloud videos, social channels, promotional materials, and related educational resources, so commercial reproduction, distribution, display, and promotional rights are required. Illustrator credit will be included in published books.

About the client
Hi, I’m an independent English tutor and the owner of Spark English, a small private tutoring business based in South Korea. I’m passionate about helping children learn English in ways that are creative and engaging. I’m developing a collection of children’s books to make English learning resources more accessible to Korean children and their families. My goal is to create colorful, imaginative and educational books that children can enjoy at home and in the classroom, and to include these books in online educational content so I can reach more families. I currently fund and manage these projects independently, so my budget is limited. But I’m passionate about bringing these ideas to life and hope to find a creative illustrator who’d enjoy growing alongside my business. I’m looking to build a positive long-term working relationship with someone who shares my enthusiasm for children’s education, creativity and storytelling.
