Illustrator is needed in Lisbon, Portugal.

Hey! We’re looking for a creative and imaginative Illustrator / Concept Artist to join our small studio and help bring the world of our first video game to life.

We’re looking for someone with a distinctive artistic eye, a strong foundation in illustration and plenty of ideas. You’ll have the opportunity to explore characters, environments, architecture etc. for our game world at an early stage, helping to build a unique + recognisable visual world.

This is a very creative role with plenty of room for experimentation. You’ll work closely with our small dev team, exploring different styles, techniques and materials, developing concepts from early sketches through to finished illustrations. Your work will play an important part in shaping the game’s atmosphere, personality and overall artistic identity, as well as guiding our 3D production in Blender and Unity.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and illustrate characters, environments, architecture, props and other elements of the game world.
• Develop original concepts, from quick exploratory sketches to detailed, finished artwork.
• Experiment with different illustration techniques, colour palettes, compositions and visual styles.
• Explore references, physical materials and traditional art techniques alongside digital illustration.
• Help develop the visual language, atmosphere and personality of the game’s world.
• Create moodboards, character sheets, environment studies and visual references to support production.
• Work closely with our the rest of the dev team to bring your concepts into the game.
• Contribute creative ideas and help shape the artistic direction of the project as it develops.
