Desert Modernism: A Palm Springs Visual Study

    Project Overview:
This project is a curated digital exploration of Mid-Century Modern architecture and the vibrant lifestyle of Palm Springs. My goal was to create a high-impact, image-driven portfolio that balances clean architectural geometry with the playful, sun-drenched aesthetic of the Coachella Valley. By pairing minimalist design with bold typography, I’ve developed a visual narrative that moves from the structural “bones” of a home to the glamorous lifestyle lived within it.

    My Role:
Digital Design & Art Direction: Developed the layout, colour palette, and visual flow of the portfolio.
Content Curation: Selected and sequenced imagery to tell a cohesive story of “Desert Modernism.”
Copywriting: Authored evocative headlines and narrative “stories” for each section to provide context and emotional resonance.

    Key Features & Highlights:
Architectural Storytelling: I focused on the iconic elements of the Indian Canyons neighbourhood, such as breeze block facades, xeriscaped gardens, and the signature “pop” of mid-century colour.
Lifestyle Integration: The project transitions from static architecture to “living” scenes, incorporating poolside glamour and high-fashion elements to capture the complete Palm Springs experience.
Minimalist UI: Using a clean, grid-based layout and a sophisticated purple-and-white colour palette, I ensured the imagery remained the primary focus while maintaining a high-end, professional feel.
Strategic Copy: Each section features custom copy—from “Al Fresco Elegance” to “Geometry in the Sun”—to engage the viewer and establish a clear brand voice for the property.
