Grievia - Branding, Illustrations, Social Media Templates and Website

Grievia is an ongoing volunteering project I’m involved in.
They are a lovely bunch of people working on developing a platform that can guide users through dealing with grief. They are starting from 0 so it’s a great chance to work from the very basic designs and build up on them.
This project has a much different tone of voice than what I’ve done in the past. I had to develop the brand identity to strike that delicate balance between serious and approachable. Their original website was dull and full of stock pictures.
Understanding that they have limited funds and buying good quality stock photos would be a strain on them, I pivoted towards a hand drawn set of simple illustrations of various symbols associated with grief.
I wanted to give them a more down-to-earth, imperfect look to push the self care/improvement narrative a little further.
Working with Grievia I had a chance to implement a lot of things I learned from the UX design course I did back in the day and from the Marketing teams I worked with in the past.
My goal is to take the bland, cold infographic style space and make it cosy, interactive and human.
