Harvest is a really useful tool for creative freelancers, especially if you work alone. It’s basically your own personal admin assistant. It helps you handle everything from time management to billing clients. Harvest works for teams too, but unfortunately the team plan isn’t free.


One of the big dogs of the project management world, Asana is great if you work in a team. It’s one of the most popular services for a reason, and it’s free for up to 15 users (win!). Its’ simple interface (designed by a Facebook co-founder, no less), makes it an intuitive and easy to use task management tool. It lets you and your team prioritise tasks, organise them into multiple projects, assign deadlines and more.



Trello is a really simple task management tool. In a nutshell you can create boards which contain lists of tasks to be completed. Tick them off when you’re done. It takes next to no time to get to grips with, but it lacks some of the more complex features that the other services offer.
