Illustrator for Children's Picture Book

We are a publishing company in Los Angeles specifically focused on creating content with diverse characters by diverse authors and illustrators.

Description of Book: Mel is creative and fun loving. He’s in love with playing the drums and carries his drumsticks everywhere he goes. Unfortunately, his sticks go missing, and the reader follows along as we learn of the relationship to the sticks, his emotions, and why he loves drumming.

Character description: I’d like the character to be the color of milk chocolate. He should have a round face and curly round hair. He should be about 6yrs old. I’d like him to wear denim shorts and a striped T-shirt with a boat on the pocket of the shirt. Dark purple socks. Tennis shoes should be red. His eyes should be dark brown and almond shaped. His eyes should be “bright” and smile wide. Also, he should be missing tooth on the top right. Additional detail, I don’t want the character to be too thin. Also, please add freckles.
