Position Summary:
We’re seeking a creative Social Media Specialist to support our Social Team and our growing social channels. This role will ensure that our social media accounts remain engaging, consistent and inspiring. Success in this role requires the ability to think strategically, excellent project management skills; a deep and current knowledge of each platform’s unique offerings; a keen eye for compelling and innovative content; and a passion for continuous improvement. You’ll need to possess an entrepreneurial nature to try new and different things, a drive for testing and learning as well as the ability to prioritize effectively and balance data-driven and instinct-driven decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and strategic development of relevant and engaging social media content
- Directly manage all Brixton brand accounts
- Capture content as needed for brand events, internal moments, photoshoots etc.
- Write engaging and on-brand social copy for brand accounts
- Explore new ways to expand engaging and on-brand content for our channels
- Develop social-first activations to generate engagement and grow organic audience.
- Pull data and insights & report
- Share knowledge of relevant trending content
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML)
- Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
- Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
- Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
- Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
- Craft elevated copy across all organic social channels that presents authority in all verticals, authenticity/brand voice and consistent storytelling
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute social copy that connects through editorials, product launches, brand moments,etc.
- Proofread new and existing copy to ensure content meets brand and editorial standards
- Partner with customer service teams to resolve any issues
- Leveraging a large photo & video archive to post impactful content
- Demonstrating subject matter expertise throughout, from planning & strategy to content creation & community engagement, with the goal of optimizing reach, retention, and revenue
Requirements and Skills:
- 4+ years proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist
- Excellent creative, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
- Adequate knowledge of design, web development, CRO andSEO
- Proficient with social video content capture and editing
- Experience with social media management and project management tools (Asana, Dash Hudson, Figma, Curalate, Google Analytics, Sprout, etc.)
- Ability to drive adoption of new ideas and new approaches
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, time-management is essential.
- Enjoys keeping a finger on the pulse of local events and unique experiences for brand cultural moments
- Highly collaborative nature and ability to build and manage internal and external relationships
- A self-starter with tenacity for execution and delivery, with the ability to adapt quickly to market trends and business priorities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and take ownership of projects
- Proven ability to manage multiple creative projects while meeting deadlines and objectives.
