Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer with a passion for data visualization and experience working with Apache Superset. As a UI/UX Designer specializing in data visualizations, you will play a pivotal role in creating intuitive and visually engaging user interfaces for our data analytics platform powered by Apache Superset. Your designs will empower users to explore, analyze, and derive insights from complex datasets while ensuring an exceptional user experience.

Responsibilities:

• User-Centric Design:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, developers, and product managers, to understand user needs and translate them into user-friendly and visually appealing data visualizations.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Data Visualization Design:
• Design and create data visualizations that effectively convey complex information in a visually compelling and easily understandable manner.
• Develop interactive dashboards, charts, graphs, and other visual elements using Apache Superset.
• UI/UX Design:
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that showcase the layout, interaction, and navigation of data visualization components within the Apache Superset platform.
• Ensure consistency in design elements, typography, colors, and overall visual style.
• Responsive Design:
• Optimize designs for various devices and screen sizes to provide a seamless user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with front-end developers to implement your designs and provide guidance throughout the development process.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to ensure smooth integration of data sources and APIs into the visualization components.
• Usability and Accessibility:
• Incorporate best practices for usability and accessibility to ensure that data visualizations are usable by a diverse range of users, including those with disabilities.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data visualization and UI/UX design.
• Seek opportunities to enhance the user experience and iterate on designs based on user feedback and evolving requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 10 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing data visualization and dashboard design projects.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.
• Experience with Apache Superset or similar data visualization platforms is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles, chart types, and best practices.
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on UI/UX design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
