Type: Permanent, Part Time 20 hours per week

Days: Flexible

Hours: Flexible, ideally 5 x 4 hour days. Core opening hours are 9am – 5pm

Rate of Pay: £26,000 per annum pro rata

As a family-run business we are looking for someone to join our friendly team and help drive the business forward. We are a successful group of four garden centres – all of which are very different. This is an exciting new role where you will work alongside our marketing team to grow our social media presence. Your focus will be on creating content for our social channels to portray our values which are: Experience, Integrity, Focus on gardens, and Independence – these sit at the heart of what we do. We want to encourage our customers to learn, enjoy, use, buy and eat with us – through great content, your job will be to persuade customers to do just that!

Key responsibilities:

• Creating daily social media posts in line with our marketing schedule
• Generating ideas for exciting and engaging content
• Growing our social media following
• Reporting on social media campaigns
• Managing the social media budget
• Responding to enquiries via our social media channels
• Building relationships with relevant third parties to identify opportunities for collaborations
• Monitoring social media trends across the industry and further afield
• Ensuring social media channels are kept up to date
• Helping out with general marketing if required

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
• A passion for social media
• A great eye for photography
• Ability to create engaging videos and reels
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
• Interest in analysing the ROI of social media campaigns
• Ability to think like a customer
• Conscientious and keen to learn and develop
• Adaptable
• A team player
• Willingness to travel to all Coolings sites (on an infrequent basis)

Qualifications Required:

No formal qualifications are required for the role, however relevant social media training would be advantageous.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience of running social media channels
• Experience of creating videos and engaging content for social media content
• Experience analysing social media campaigns
• Experience of working in a fast-moving industry

Uniform is provided. Own transport arrangements are essential as public transport is not reliable to Coolings.
