About us:

We are a young, hardworking and rapidly expanding design and manufacturing company based in Highbridge but trading globally. We are looking for a creative seasonal designer who has strong knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) and has has experience in all areas of graphic design including typography, branding and illustration.

Job Summary:

The seasonal designer will liaise directly with customers electronically, receiving briefs for custom designs or alterations to existing designs, generate design proofs for approval and create print-ready artwork for mass print production.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

• Understanding design concepts
• Understand and implement the requirements of multiple projects
• Use various techniques to create drafts
• Receive briefings for custom designs or alterations to existing designs
• Refine and adjust images, fonts and general artworks
• Produce final design solutions
• Collaborate well with both your own and other internal/external teams
• Have a good understanding of the principles of typography
• Be passionate about creating stunning visuals
• Able to work in an agile and fast-paced environment
• Have excellent time management skills and be able to work to deadlines
• Be an excellent communicator

Person Specification:

• Experience working with Adobe Suite programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator
• Proven experience working in a similar role or design environment
• Strong proficiency with required desktop publishing tools
• Experience using Microsoft Office
• A strong eye for visual composition
• Ability to think outside the box and demonstrate creative flair
• Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines with speed and accuracy
• An excellent team player with a positive attitude
• A desire to learn and work outside your comfort zone
• Great at prioritising and managing a diverse workload
• Passionate about putting the customer needs first - validating data and customer research to back up your design rationale

Salary:

£10.80 per hour
