Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile Graphic Designer with expertise in website development and exceptional customer service skills to join our team at Midwest Custom Print, a leading print shop based in the vibrant city of Chicago. As a Graphic Designer, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creative talents by designing captivating print materials while also utilizing your web development skills to create visually stunning websites for our clients. Additionally, your strong customer service abilities will enable you to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the design process.

Responsibilities:

• Develop visually appealing designs for print materials, including brochures, flyers, business cards, banners, posters, and more.
• Utilize your web development skills to design and build responsive websites that align with clients’ brand guidelines and objectives.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their design requirements, website functionalities, and target audience.
• Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with clients, addressing their inquiries, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the design and development process.
• Conceptualize and execute design concepts, layouts, and artwork, employing industry-leading design software and tools.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends, web development techniques, and technologies to offer innovative and cutting-edge solutions to clients.
• Coordinate with the print production team to ensure accurate execution of print designs and timely delivery of finished products.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling visual content for digital platforms, including social media graphics, email templates, and website banners.
• Stay organized by maintaining design files, assets, and project documentation for easy access and reference.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a focus on print design and website development.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of print design projects and websites you have designed and built.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and web development tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
• Solid understanding of typography, color theory, layout design principles, and user experience (UX) design.
• Knowledge of web development best practices, responsive design principles, and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for design and technology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information:

• Job Type: Part-time
• Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
• Schedule: Day shift, On-call
• Supplemental pay types: Bonus opportunities
• Ability to commute/relocate: Chicago, IL 60628: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
