Job Description:

Epapa, a Berlin-based start-up, is seeking a talented UX/UI designer to join their mission of revolutionizing education for abstract thinking. The designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, improving, and using wireframes, prototypes, style guides, and user flows. They must be able to effectively communicate interactive ideas, present and defend design decisions, and ensure the product interface aligns with the company’s vision and style. Additionally, the designer will conduct usability testing, user interviews/surveys, A/B testing, and user stories and journeys.

Requirements:

• 0-2 years of experience and a proven track record
• Degree in a relevant field
• Strong existing portfolio and ability to explain design concepts and ideation
• Proficient in UX and UI design, using Figma
• Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Creative problem-solving mindset
• Experience working in an agile/scrum development process
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of user-centered design (UCD), user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, and usability and accessibility concerns
• Experience with prototyping tools and animation tools such as ProtoPie, AfterEffect, and LottieFiles (bonus)

Additional Information:

• Freelance contract from 01.01.24 to 31.03.24
• Expectation to be present in the Berlin-Mitte office at least twice a week
