Founded in 2022, Elevate Strategies is a women-owned and operated strategic political consulting firm. We support progressive candidates, elected officials, causes, and organizations who are ready to rise to the next level. Committed to elevating a bench of professionally trained candidates and campaign staff, we take an all-hands-on-deck approach to campaigns. Our team has the opportunity to work on a wide range of political campaigns, from the School Board to the Senate.

Elevate is seeking a creative and passionate Digital and Graphic Designer to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah for the 2024 election cycle. The ideal candidate will be excited about working in politics, particularly in supporting progressive candidates, a sense of creativity, and possess a versatile skill set in digital and graphic design. This is a part-time position with the possibility of a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

Campaign and Candidate Branding:

- Develop unique and interesting logos, brand kits, and branding materials for political campaigns and candidates.

Candidate Online Presence:

- Create visually appealing banner images for social media and emails.

- Design social media post templates.

- Perform basic video editing for online campaign content.

- Design digital advertising campaigns in various formats.

Political Print and Mail Design:

- Design print materials such as candidate informational pieces, direct mail programs, one-pagers, yard signs, letterhead, lapel pins, stickers, t-shirts, and more.

Campaign Website Design:

- Possess a basic understanding of website design principles.

- Ability to fully build out websites using platforms such as Wix and Squarespace preferred.

Company Marketing and Branding Materials:

- Design marketing materials for Elevate such as presentations, one-pagers, and similar as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

Qualified applicants must have a strong portfolio showcasing their digital and graphic design skills. Experience in political campaigns is a plus. We are looking for someone ready to build a career in Democratic politics in Utah.

The ideal candidate will also possess the following:

• A strong desire to work in Democratic and non-partisan politics.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or equivalent graphic design tools.
• Experience working with website editors such as Wix, Squarespace, and WordPress.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong work ethic & willingness to occasionally work long or irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Proficient in using productivity tools such as Google Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Bilingual speaking and writing are a plus.

Work Hours:

The work schedule for the Digital and Graphic Designer role is typically Monday through Friday from late morning to early afternoon. However, flexibility may be required to occasionally accommodate needs outside of regular business hours.

Compensation:

The base salary for this position is $2,000 per month.
