Job Description

Responsible for the visual appearance and function of theming, scenic, and signage elements used in productions, events, and entertainment offerings. Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to establish cohesive designs. Complete requests for signage and graphic elements from different areas of the park. Develop and follow style guides and color elevations. Organize projects, manage deadlines, and document core project elements. Prepare creative briefs for cost estimates and bids. Assist in planning, construction, and installation of design elements.

Requirements

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work well in a team and accept feedback. Experience in carpentry, architecture, drafting, sketching, materials, and fabrication preferred. Comfortable working under deadlines with changing priorities. Able to lift/move 25 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and work in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Four or more years of professional experience in scenic/set design or graphic design. Portfolio or work samples required.

Location and Compensation

This is an on-site position in Williamsburg, VA. Compensation is $17.00 per hour.
