Job Description

The Senior Designer at Curriculum Associates will focus on production design for K-6 Spanish Language Arts products. The role is freelance with a 6-month contract. The designer will work closely with the Design Director and internal teams to create engaging and user-centric designs for curriculum products.

• Contribute to creating educational experiences for 10 million students nationwide
• Collaborate with the design team to structure new language arts products for print and digital platforms
• Develop components, layouts, and features with a focus on user experience and engagement
• Create culturally responsive resources in collaboration with educators and industry leaders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
• 5-10 years of experience in K-12 education, children’s publishing, or media
• Experience in product-specific production planning, print production process, and typography
• Proficiency in Adobe CC (InDesign), Microsoft Office, and other design tools
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with supervising vendors, creating production-ready templates, and best practices in print and digital design
• Portfolio submission required

The pay range for this role is $40-$50 per hour, with compensation based on experience and skills. Temporary employees eligible for benefits like medical coverage and paid holidays.
