Job Description

Skylar is an award-winning integrated marketing agency based in Vaughan, Ontario, established in 2001. We’re seeking a Graphic Designer with at least 4 years of agency experience to join our growing team. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional creative solutions that align with our standards of quality, on-brand, on-budget, and on-time. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong people and presentation skills, as well as an extensive knowledge of graphic fundamentals and marketing principles.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• 4+ years of design experience in an agency environment
• Thorough knowledge and proficiency in design software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
• Experience across various marketing mediums (digital, video, TV, print, OOH, etc.)
• Strong and versatile creative portfolio
• University degree or college diploma in creative, communications, advertising design, or related field (not mandatory)
• Photography experience is a plus

Responsibilities

The Graphic Designer’s responsibilities include:

• Attending planning meetings and assessing design briefs
• Collaborating with the team to produce strong creative designs
• Creating effective design communications while maintaining brand integrity
• Making presentations to staff and clients
• Supporting account managers in project needs
• Generating creative ideas and encouraging team contributions
• Designing for various projects including brand identity, advertising, and social media platforms
• Developing digital campaigns across multiple consumer touch points
• Producing video and animation content
