Position Overview:
Opus Business Media, a reputable B2B magazine publisher based in Macclesfield, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This role is ideal for a passionate designer who thrives in a collaborative environment and can bring a high level of creativity and attention to detail to both print and digital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Magazine Layouts: Work closely with the editorial team to design and lay out magazine pages that align with our house style and meet publication deadlines.
- Client Ads: Design ads for clients as part of our in-house service, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and creativity.
- Digital Publications: Prepare and upload publications to digital platforms (training provided).
- Email Campaigns: Create and manage email campaigns to support marketing efforts (training provided).
- Image Sourcing: Source high-quality images to complement editorial content and enhance the visual appeal of our publications.
- Print Collateral: Produce print materials, such as exhibition stand designs, yearbooks, and other printed collateral, maintaining a high standard of design quality.
- Client & Team Collaboration: Liaise directly with clients and work closely with the editorial team to ensure top-quality design work that meets client and internal expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience: Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a B2B or publishing environment.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign, along with proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe PDF.
- Design Expertise: Strong understanding of composition, layout, and typography.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone, with confidence in liaising with clients and colleagues.
- Portfolio: Up-to-date portfolio demonstrating a variety of design projects.
