The Purpose Brand agency is an award-winning, full-service public relations, brand, and digital content marketing firm located in Chicago. The agency emphasizes putting purpose into practice, enhancing brand relevance, and strengthening communities. They offer a wide range of services, including media and public relations, brand strategy, content creation, web design and development, content strategy, special events, video marketing, and training.

They are seeking to hire a freelance Social Media Manager to assist with managing client accounts across various platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. This position is remote and freelance, but Chicago-based candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and executing short and long-term social media strategies.
• Write engaging, high-quality copy and plan visual content for social media campaigns.
• Develop quarterly performance insights and actions that align with the client’s goals.
• Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of each social media campaign.
• Build brand awareness and foster online communities by managing daily engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or digital marketing.
• Located in the Chicago area.
• 2+ years of social media marketing experience.
• 2 years of agency account management preferred.
• Excellent writing and grammatical skills.
• Experience with B2B verticals such as Healthcare, Real Estate, CRE/AEC, Financial Services, and Government/Transportation preferred.
• Experience within a multicultural practice and a passion for multicultural initiatives is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to maintain a focus on the larger picture.
• Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and client teams at all levels.
• Must be available for immediate work.
