Job Description

Forbes Travel Guide seeks a mid-level graphic designer for the Creative Services team. This is an independent contractor position with potential for permanent hire. Creative Services works closely with each division within the company, producing a variety of digital and print collateral, while ensuring that each piece represents FTG’s high standards of professionalism and elegance.

The graphic designer will be responsible for working with the Creative Services Lead in completing day-to-day tasks such as photo resizing, company newsletter layouts, PowerPoint designs, and assisting with larger projects as well as assignments associated with the annual Star Rating announcement and The Summit event. The graphic designer position will be remote, though Atlanta-based candidates are strongly preferred for in-person training and meetings (once weekly in FTG’s office in Buckhead).

Requirements

Experience Level: 5+ years of experience in a graphic design-related field.

Skills:

• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere.
• Basic photo editing in either Photoshop or Lightroom.
• Proficient in Microsoft Programs, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Have a good eye for high-quality imagery.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and works well under pressure.
• Ability to multitask and handle daily deadlines.
• Extremely organized, mature, self-motivated, and independent worker.
• Strong organizational skills.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related visual communication design field, or relevant work experience required.

Additional Skills: Experience with SharePoint, content management systems, WordPress, Marketing Cloud (or similar email marketing system) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Resize photos for blog stories and for the forbestravelguide.com website.
• Lightly edit photos for company collateral.
• Annual logo updates.
• Design collateral for new products and services.
• Format company decks for presentations, proposals, and trainings.
• Edit video for virtual trainings and webinars.
• Assist with designs required for the Star Ratings announcement in February, including digital certificates and customizable social media posts.
• Collect high-resolution imagery for press.
• Aid in the creation of videos, LED elements, directionals, step & repeats, presentations, and more for The Summit.
