JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly motivated Social Media Manager & Graphic Designer to join our team. This role is crucial in shaping and delivering our church’s message across multiple digital platforms, ensuring that our brand remains visually compelling and aligned with our mission. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Management:

  • Develop, manage, and execute the church’s social media strategy across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Create and curate relevant, high-quality content to engage with our community and expand our reach.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance, providing regular insights and recommendations to improve engagement and growth.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and pastoral manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices, adapting strategies to maintain relevance.

Graphic Design:

  • Design visually engaging content for social media, church events, sermon series, website, print materials, and more.
  • Work closely with church leadership to ensure all designs are consistent with the church’s branding and messaging.
  • Create promotional materials for church programs, outreach initiatives, and events.
  • Manage graphic design projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop creative concepts for various campaigns.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A passion for design and the local church.
  • A heart for ministry and alignment with the mission and values of Hills Church.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite products, with emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Proven experience in social media management and graphic design (church or non-profit experience is a plus).
  • Strong eye for design, attention to detail, and a passion for visual storytelling.
  • Desire and ability to communicate effectively with vendors and within a team.
  • Positive and coachable attitude with a commitment to excellent service and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, energetic work environment.
  • Anticipates/avoids problems or formulates creative solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills - able to project manage multiple projects.
  • Collaborative, flexible personality - adapts well to changing priorities or situations.
  • Self-directed and proactive, requiring appropriate levels of supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
