Job Description
The Rank Group includes leading high street entertainment brands Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casinos, with venues across the UK and a thriving digital business. We are seeking a Social Media Manager to join our team at a pivotal moment in our strategy. This role will focus on the Mecca Bingo brand, delivering a highly creative and analytical social media strategy. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative team and take the lead in engaging our community through entertainment, engagement, and reactive conversations.
As the Social Media Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Evolving and optimizing opportunities to create a unique brand-driven community that grows customer loyalty and engagement.
- Leading day-to-day priorities for the social media team and managing third-party relationships in the UK and Gibraltar.
- Ensuring existing strategies are effective while exploring new avenues to engage and convert customers.
- Building relationships across different teams including creative studio, copy, promo, community management, and performance marketing.
- Planning a three-month rolling social media content calendar aligned with promotional messaging and brand priorities.
- Managing social media initiatives, content distribution, reach/engagement measurement, and establishing a measurement framework.
- Monitoring data and results, evolving strategy, and making recommendations regarding priorities and budgets.
- Collaborating with the Head of PR & Content to optimize customer-facing communications and overall social media strategy.
Requirements
To be considered for the role, candidates must have:
- Experience in social media within consumer-facing, multi-channel businesses, preferably in regulated industries.
- Proven track record in developing and delivering social media marketing in a fast-paced multichannel environment.
- The ability to create and execute engaging consumer content interactions via social media.
- Strong communication skills and the capacity to operate effectively at middle management level.
- Excellent influencing skills for fostering positive working relationships.
- Experience in leading and developing small teams.
