Job Description

BBC Studios is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join the Graphic Design team supporting EastEnders, one of the UK’s most loved soaps. The role involves designing posters, hand-drawn banners, and other creative assets that bring the fictional town of Walford to life. The successful candidate will need advanced technical and free-hand skills, the ability to work at pace, and previous experience in a long-running drama. This position is based at Elstree Studios and requires effective management of multiple tasks and relationships across various departments.

Requirements

• Experience as a Graphic Designer on a long-running drama series.
• Portfolio showcasing design work and creative flair.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Passion for graphic design in drama and familiarity with high standards and quality.
• Awareness of latest design trends and technological developments.
• Ability to deliver content via technical drawing, computer, and freehand techniques.
• Strong communication skills, with experience collaborating with diverse teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple team deadlines.
• Expert knowledge and understanding of clearance for Graphic Design content.
• Experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
• Understanding of BBC’s values in accuracy and impartiality.
• Knowledge and passion for Continuing Dramas, especially EastEnders.

Salary range: £50,000 - £53,609 + London Weighting @ £5319

Preferred start date: 3rd March
