Narrative Mastery is a London-based creative consultancy specialising in story development, film editing, pitch design, and visual strategy in the worlds of film production and branding. We’re currently seeking a creative and organised Social Media & Communications Manager to support the online presence of a much-loved independent Italian restaurant in Edinburgh. The restaurant, known for its exceptional handmade pasta, small-batch gelato, and lively interiors, has a loyal local following and a vibrant visual identity, making it a true neighbourhood gem.

Requirements

• Part-time, entry-level role ideal for those with a strong interest in content creation, social media, and hospitality.
• Must be based in Edinburgh with the flexibility to visit the restaurant weekly.
• Confident in taking and editing photos/videos with a phone.
• Enthusiastic about food, hospitality, and visual storytelling.
• Good understanding of design, colour, and playful brand tone.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and creative.
• Interested in learning from an experienced creative professional in film and content production.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit the restaurant once a week to capture photography and video content (dishes, interiors, behind-the-scenes moments, team culture).
• Create and schedule engaging posts across Instagram and Facebook.
• Keep followers updated with specials, events, and general news.
• Monitor and respond to DMs and booking enquiries.
• Manage the info email inbox, responding to general messages and forwarding job applications to the restaurant team.
• Support the development of the restaurant’s tone of voice and visual consistency online.
