Job Description

Who We Are: Narrative Mastery is a London-based creative consultancy specialising in story development, film editing, pitch design and visual strategy in the worlds of film production and branding. We’re currently seeking a creative and organised Social Media & Communications Manager to support the online presence of a much-loved independent Italian restaurant in Edinburgh. The restaurant has a loyal local following and a vibrant visual identity, known for its exceptional handmade pasta, small-batch gelato, and lively, quirky interiors.

Requirements

This is a part-time, entry-level role ideal for someone with a strong interest in content creation, social media, and hospitality. Key responsibilities include:

• Visiting the restaurant once a week to capture photography and video content (dishes, interiors, behind-the-scenes moments, team culture).
• Creating and scheduling engaging posts across Instagram and Facebook.
• Keeping followers updated with specials, events, and general news.
• Monitoring and responding to DMs and booking enquiries.
• Managing the info email inbox and forwarding job applications to the restaurant team.
• Supporting the development of the restaurant’s tone of voice and visual consistency online.

This role would suit someone who is:

• Based in Edinburgh, with flexibility to visit the restaurant weekly.
• Confident taking and editing photos/videos with your phone.
• Enthusiastic about food, hospitality, and visual storytelling.
• Has a feel for design, colour, and playful brand tone.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and creative.
• Interested in learning from an experienced creative professional in film and content production.
