We are seeking a talented and creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our team and support in the development of a variety of creative solutions. The ideal candidate should have a passion for graphic design backed by a portfolio showcasing a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of design, and the ability to create high-quality design intended for a variety of solutions. You will also have the opportunity to support in the development of creative solutions ranging from websites, animations, e-learning content, social media posts and contribute to the further development of the Ascendant Studio brand and its engagement through various social media channels.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Solutions:

• Create visually stunning, compelling and effective designs for print and digital media.
• Design and develop creative content for various platforms, including websites, social media, print materials, and adverts.
• Understand project briefs and deliver cohesive designs that meet client objectives.
• Design beautifully tailored document templates and presentations to be used by both clients and internally for Ascendant Studio.
• Work within clients’ existing brand systems to ensure visual consistency of deliverables.
• Develop creative and innovative ideas and concepts and translate these into graphic design solutions.

Collaborate:

• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure design assets meet their needs.
• Brainstorm design solutions for clients’ communication challenges.
• Sourcing examples and ideas to illustrate look and feel to indicate approach to client.

Day-to-day operations:

• Develop content and visuals to drive engagement and brand awareness for Ascendant Studio.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and implement innovative design techniques that push creative boundaries.
• Manage your time effectively while working on multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Reporting on progress and updating task statuses.
• Maintain and update document storage ensuring proper organisation and adhering to file storage policy and naming convention.

Requirements

• 1 or more years’ experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and a creative mindset.
• Some experience in online marketing, including social media management and content creation.
• Marketing experience is beneficial.

Software Application Requirements

• Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
• Proficient in:
• InDesign
• Photoshop
• Illustrator
• Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Adobe XD or Figma (not required but beneficial)
• Microsoft PowerPoint
• Microsoft Word

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
