Contract: Contractor

Job Description

Title: UI Technical Architect

Duration: 12 Months Contract (With possibility of extension or hire)

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and planning for the software architecture of the Web platform. You will need to understand the latest trends and take important architecture decisions while ensuring integrations with various vendors and media portals. You will lead Proof of Concepts (POCs), define architecture, and play a key role in decision-making. You will also design, implement, and maintain UI infrastructure and systems for reliable and scalable delivery of streaming content, while working within a team to launch efficient systems and solutions.

Requirements

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in application design, development, installation, and modification of web applications.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing with JavaScript using React JS v16 & 17, Redux, Webpack, and ES6 or equivalent.
  • Streaming technology experience.
  • Experience in solving complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
  • Experience in performing code reviews and mentoring peers.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an Agile/DevOps environment.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of development methodologies, software design patterns, and integration standards.
  • Expertise in software engineering processes such as versioning control and software release management using GitHub.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret requirements from Business and UX Design Teams.
  • Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Git/GitHub, TeamCity or equivalent configuration tools.
  • DevOps Experience using AWS tools, including cloud technologies and Akamai CDN.
  • Experience with UI Analytics tools like Google Analytics and app performance tools such as Dynatrace.

Education:

  • Technical bachelor’s degree with related work experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
