Job Description
SBC is seeking a social-native, highly creative Social Media & Community Specialist who truly understands digital culture. You spot trends early, thrive in fast-paced feeds, and create scroll-stopping content. You’ll lead our social strategy, manage community engagement, and craft content that drives connection and conversion. As the voice of Suave and ChapStick, you’ll play a key role in growing and nurturing our community. This is a contract position that requires approximately 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Social Media & Channel Ownership:
- Develop and execute platform-native social media strategy for Instagram, TikTok, and emerging channels.
- Manage the content calendar and copywriting, ensuring weekly and monthly plans align seamlessly with brand campaigns, product launches, and cultural moments.
- Track platform trends and innovations to ensure our content stays relevant and differentiated.
Community Management:
- Lead all community engagement—respond to DMs and comments, foster conversations, and act as the brand’s voice in real time.
- Build strong relationships with our most loyal followers, brand fans, and customers.
- Monitor sentiment and surface insights from the community to inform content and product direction.
Influencer & Creator Collaboration:
- Manage relationships with influencers and content creators.
- Source and manage user-generated content and ensure proper usage rights.
- Help with influencer seeding and identification.
- Work on influencer outreach and contracts.
- Assist with influencer briefs.
Requirements
- Familiarity with and passion for social media, especially Instagram and TikTok.
- Beauty industry experience preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of post-college experience, with at least 3 years in content or social media roles.
- iPhone-native photo and video production skills; bonus if experienced with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or InShot.
- Strong writing skills and an instinct for brand voice and storytelling.
- Experience working with influencers or creators, preferably in a brand or agency setting.
- Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools (Sprout Social).
- Proactive, collaborative, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
Additional Information
This position is contract-based, requiring approximately 30 hours per week of dedicated work.
