Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Manager to join Finisterre on a part-time basis. Leading the channel budget and strategy, you will ensure Finisterre’s social media presence supports and delivers against business goals, translating briefs into a channel post plan and strategy that sets up our social media platforms for success. A key focus of the role is managing and supporting the Junior Social Media Executive to ensure content is delivered on time, on brief, and within budget. You’ll review and sign off assets across channels and occasionally step in to create content during high-demand periods. You’ll also own and maintain the Trade Calendar, lead day-to-day content planning, report weekly on KPIs in trading meetings, and contribute to monthly retrospectives — providing strategic input and making adjustments in response to performance and business priorities.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for the creation and management of the social media strategy across all organic social channels, including but not limited to Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Threads.
  • Work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and wider Marketing team to refine and sign off social media strategies.
  • Connect with the full marketing team and other parts of the business to understand all projects and initiatives to promote on social channels.
  • Maintain a monthly content calendar, ensuring all storytelling points are covered and performance-driven.
  • Ensure a clear posting schedule is fulfilled by the Junior Social Media Executive.
  • Write detailed briefs for the Junior Social Media Executive and Creative team when necessary.
  • Manage and analyse the performance of social media channels and produce reports on performance.
  • Provide strategic pivots as needed and communicate them to the Junior Social Media Exec.
  • Line manage the Junior Social Media Executive, providing feedback for content performance across platforms.
  • Directly responsible for the social media budget, managing allocation and tracking.
  • Create content during high-demand periods as required.
  • Select and coordinate on-shoot creators for seasonal campaign shoots, ensuring timely delivery on brief and budget.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a multi-channel retail business in a social media role.
  • A strong understanding of social media marketing skills, deliverables, and challenges, with evidence of delivering continuous improvement.
  • Ability and aspiration to manage and develop a team.
  • Intuitive understanding of all social channels and how they operate.
  • Excitement about AI and its potential to optimize work.
  • Passion, energy, and alignment with Finisterre’s values, products, brand, and customers.
  • Excellent self-awareness, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to thrive on positive change under pressure.

You’ll have the opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, growing B Corp certified brand and enjoy a variety of benefits including:

  • A discretionary bonus scheme based on company performance.
  • Pension scheme with Nest.
  • 25 days holiday per year, plus up to 8 UK bank holidays.
