Job Description

Freelance UI Designer Needed for Live Auction App (OneStopSwap)

Location: Remote

Start Date: ASAP

We’re seeking a talented freelance UI designer to create a visually striking, professional user interface for a live auction marketplace (think: TikTok meets eBay). This is a short-term contract (approx. 4–6 weeks) to deliver the UI design system only. We are not asking for UX strategy, wireframing, or development, just clean, component-based UI design.

Requirements

Design Requirements:

  • Visual design for 15–20 app screens (mobile-first, with consideration for future desktop adaptation)
  • Includes: homepage, product detail, auction stream screen, user profile, checkout, live chat, seller dashboard, etc.
  • Light & dark mode versions of each screen
  • Component-based UI system (buttons, nav bars, input fields, modals, cards, etc.)
  • Typography, spacing, and color palette system
  • Three visual theme options for initial screen samples, to choose direction
  • Delivery in Figma (or Sketch if preferred), fully layered and organized
  • Assets exportable in SVG, PNG, EPS, etc.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • 3+ years UI experience for mobile or web platforms
  • Strong portfolio of marketplace, fintech, media, or streaming products
  • Proficient in Figma (preferred) or Sketch
  • Detail-oriented and fast turnaround
  • Comfortable working with founder-driven startups

Project Timeline

  • Kickoff: Immediately
  • Week 1: Deliver 3 visual directions for homepage/product screen
  • Week 2–5: Final design system built out
  • Week 6: Final polish & file handoff

Benefits

Your flat project rate (preferred).

If your rate is fair and your work is great, this could lead to more projects or a longer-term retainer.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour.
