Job Description
IO Datasphere, Inc. is seeking a UI-UX Designer to support the IRIS 2.0 modernization project, which involves a full replacement of the client’s case management system. This role is critical in self-directed project teams working on high-priority development tasks, such as reviewing the legacy IRIS system, designing and redesigning workflows, conducting usability research, and providing user experience guidance.
Responsibilities
- Review the legacy IRIS system.
- Work with users and business analysts to understand business requirements.
- Design new workflows for the modern system and redesign existing workflows.
- Create wireframes and prototypes.
- Conduct usability research and testing.
- Champion modern design principles.
- Provide guidance on user experience issues.
- Design usable UI components using a material design library.
Requirements
- Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a lead designer on development projects, particularly in technology modernization.
- 4 years of experience creating wireframes/prototypes and iterating with stakeholders.
- 4 years of experience creating personas and testing designs against them.
- 4 years of experience/knowledge of modern code implementations and web design standards.
- 4 years of change management experience.
- 4 years of documenting requirements.
- 2 years of in-depth knowledge of System Development Lifecycle Deliverables (SDLD).
- 1 year of experience with MS Office and Office 365 products.
- Skills Desired (a plus):
- 4 years of understanding of Project Management methodologies and Agile experience.
- 2 years of project management experience.
- 1 year of experience with .NET, ASP.NET, or VB.NET.
- 1 year of experience in a large, complex organization.
- 1 year of experience in requirements gathering.
Additional Information
Candidates must be residents of Wisconsin or willing to relocate at their own expense prior to starting the role. This position requires onsite presence for in-person orientation on the first day and then expected monthly onsite presence thereafter, based on project needs. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States, with acceptable work visas including H1b, H4, and TN. Companies submitting candidates should only submit direct W2 employees for this position. Rate will depend on experience.
Location: Madison, WI (Hybrid work model, with occasional on-site requirements).
Contract Length: 1 year.
