Job Description

Newmarket Holidays is seeking a talented UX/UI Designer for a 12-month fixed-term contract, with an option to become permanent, based in Wallington, London. This role is an office-based or hybrid opportunity, with in-office days set for Mondays and Wednesdays. As the sole product designer, you will collaborate closely with the ecommerce, tech teams, and the in-house graphics studio to enhance our website and booking journey, ultimately helping to shape the digital experience for thousands of travelers each month.

Your responsibilities will include redesigning key website areas, developing a design system, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, as well as supporting the Ecommerce team with various digital initiatives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• 5+ years of experience designing for ecommerce websites, preferably in travel, hospitality, or lifestyle industries.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience designing booking flows or checkout journeys, as evidenced in your portfolio.
• Proficiency in Figma and experience in prototyping and testing.
• A strong UX thinking ability, sharp UI skills, and a keen eye for detail.
• Confidence in collaborating across multiple teams, including ecommerce, marketing, and development.
• A champion of design systems with a commitment to accessibility and inclusive design.
• High levels of organization, maintaining clean design files, and ensuring smooth handovers to development teams.
• Experience designing for older demographics is beneficial.
• A passion for travel is an advantage.
