Job Description

Splay is one of the fastest growing brands of barefoot shoes. We are a small, energetic team that is working hard to create the best products and customer experience possible. Our team is growing quickly and we need to add an energetic part time graphic designer that can help us create engaging content and graphics for our emails, advertising, and socials.

We are seeking a talented and creative Freelance Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual design and will be responsible for creating engaging and innovative designs across various platforms. This role requires a keen eye for aesthetics, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

The barefoot shoe market is growing fast and Splay is a leader in the space. We are looking for someone that can grow with us. For the right candidate, with the right attitude, and skills, there will be opportunity for growth and advancement as the team grows.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with marketing team to understand their design needs and objectives.
• Create visually appealing graphics for web and print media, ensuring brand consistency.
• Develop short engaging video content for socials through video editing techniques.
• Produce high-quality illustrations using Adobe suite.
• Execute typesetting tasks to ensure clarity and readability in all designs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to incorporate into design work.

Requirements

• Proficiency in design software including the appropriate Adobe Suite products, Canva, and others.
• Strong skills in visual design, layout design, and typesetting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
• A portfolio showcasing previous design work that demonstrates creativity and technical skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
