Job Description
We are Hoorayโa team of innovators, disruptors, and storytellers with a deep passion for hospitality and lifestyle branding. Currently, we are seeking a Senior Designer (Contract) to join our creative network and enhance digital and print initiatives with exceptional design expertise.
As a Contract Senior Designer, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of creative thinkers to create sophisticated, emotionally-driven visuals for brand systems, websites, campaigns, and environments, often for premium hospitality clients worldwide. This role is best suited for a proactive and detail-oriented designer capable of balancing established brand guidelines with confident, imaginative contributions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design for both digital and print across various projects, including websites, sales decks, email templates, branded collateral, and environmental graphics.
- Translate brand guides into scalable, consistent visual systems, while enhancing design through thoughtful innovations.
- Create reusable Figma components, animated interactions, and responsive layouts.
- Prepare print-ready files for production, including specifications for collateral and large-format environmental installations.
- Collaborate with project managers and developers to ensure concepts are implemented with fidelity and functionality.
- Present and rationalize design solutions to internal teams and occasionally to clients.
Core Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional design experience, ideally in branding, digital campaigns, and the hospitality or luxury lifestyle sectors.
- Strong typographic sensibility and a clean, elevated aesthetic.
- Expertise in applying and evolving brand systems.
- Familiarity with creative direction and enhancing existing brand parameters.
Tools & Software Proficiency
Must-Have:
- Figma (component creation, prototyping, responsive design, interaction animation)
- Adobe Creative Suite:
- Photoshop (design, layout, photo editing)
- Illustrator (vector design and brand elements)
- InDesign (layout, print design, and packaged deliverables)
- Animate (banner ads, HTML/JS output)
- Knowledge of Google Slides, Apple Keynote, and Canva (quick-turn collateral adaptation)
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in Email design & template creation using tools like Revinate, Mailchimp, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Basic video editing skills using DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro.
Contract Details
Engagement Type: Freelance / Contract (1099)
Time Commitment: ~20 hours per week (hours may fluctuate by project volume)
Compensation: Hourly, competitive based on experience
Location: Fully remote, with flexibility across time zones (U.S.-based preferred)
As a 1099 independent contractor, you must invoice for services. This role is part-time and project-based, with hours varying depending on workload. You will set and manage your own schedule.
Candidates must have their own design tools and software and preferably should already be operating as a freelancer or have a contract-based business established.
