Job Description

Are you a creative and passionate graphic designer looking to make a meaningful impact as a part of a marketing team? The PMI San Francisco Bay Area Chapter is seeking a talented Volunteer Graphic Designer to help create digital marketing graphics for event promotion! This is an exciting opportunity to apply your design skills to social media and email marketing materials, all while working closely with other marketing team members. If youโ€™re eager to build your portfolio and gain valuable experience in a dynamic non-profit environment, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in style and quality, and optimized for search and user experience for all content channels, including social media, mobile, video, especially short-form content.
  • Understand current PMI design/brand standards and develop a consistent look and feel for various types of designs.
  • Create standard templates for visuals used on the website, in email, and on social media.
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
  • Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs.
  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic.
  • Amend designs after feedback.
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
  • Work with the Social Media team and Solvable to create posts that align with chapter marketing goals.
  • Join biweekly team meetings to collaborate with the Marketing team.
  • Test graphics across various media (as needed).

Requirements

  • Experience using Asana for project management.
  • Experience with Canva Premium and Photoshop.
  • Experience in other volunteer and non-profit organizations.
  • Creative thinking.
  • Reliability.
  • Ability to dedicate 3-5 hours per week to volunteer work.
